West Virginia lies in the Appalachian Mountains along the eastern United States and is the only state to reside entirely in the mountain range. Known for its beauty and abundance in outdoor recreation opportunities, West Virginia is coined as “Almost Heaven.”
The WAMSB 2023 World Championship will help open up a pathway for individuals from various places to come together and see what makes the state so special. Many of the visitors will be able to experience the hospitality and feel of small-town communities in the North Central West Virginia region such as Buckhannon, the host city, Bridgeport, Fairmont and Morgantown. The international competition could also help open doors for additional rhetoric, partnerships, economic and future touristic opportunity here in the Mountain State.
